Ela Vision had the honor of serving as the U.S.–based production partner for the international documentary about the life of Cazuza — one of Brazil’s most iconic singers and songwriters.

Cazuza (tag) was celebrated for his poetic lyrics and his influence on Brazilian rock. He passed away from AIDS in 1990 and was one of the first major public figures in Brazil to openly announce he was HIV-positive — an act of immense courage that helped fight stigma and expand public awareness at a crucial time.

For this project, Ela Vision oversaw all production for the shoots in New York City and Boston. Our team handled everything: assembling crew, securing permits, offering creative solutions, and sourcing key characters who were essential to telling this story with depth and authenticity.
